One Transmission. Many Viewers.

An independent creator shares an urban garden from a single phone. Animated diagrams illustrate how neighboring PRP participants cooperate to expand a multicast distribution tree, while the transmission reference and source authority remain distinct from the paths carrying the data.

Complete narration

A single off-screen narrator speaks throughout. Scene times are navigation markers; transitions overlap briefly.

0:00 · One person, one phone

He has a story to tell and a phone to share it. On the other side, people want to watch. But how can he reach a huge audience without sending a separate copy of the video to every person?

0:15 · The tree takes shape

The distribution does not have to appear fully formed. When sessions of the same transmission follow the same stretch, an aggregator can cooperate with its neighbor and transfer those duplicate sessions to it. The next device then distributes the data to the destinations on that branch.

0:35 · Cooperation repeats

Further along, the same cooperation can happen again. As routes are simplified, a neighbor transfers duplicate sessions to the next device, which takes over another branch. The tree expands through these local cooperations. The creator keeps speaking as distribution takes shape along the paths to the viewers.

0:58 · Distinct roles

The transmission has its own reference. It is not the creator's identity, or the session being used at that moment. Replacing a session does not have to mean creating another transmission or changing who is authorized to send.

1:13 · Extend reach, preserve authorship

Helping distribute the stream does not grant the right to speak on his behalf. Aggregators can replicate protected data without becoming the source or taking over viewer admission. Content authenticity must remain verifiable by those receiving it.

1:30 · A network of participants

No particular platform has to own this distribution. But paths, capacity, and participants willing to carry the data are still needed. The application handles the camera and playback. The protocol organizes the communication supporting the transmission.

1:47 · Back to the person

One person can be the source. Many participants can extend their reach. One transmission. Many viewers. PRP.

Visual description by scene

0:00–0:15 · One person, one phone

In a rooftop garden, a man with short dark hair, glasses and a terracotta shirt holds a seedling beside a phone on a small tripod. Brief cuts show viewers at home, in a workshop and in a community space. He blinks, moves his mouth and makes a small gesture with his free hand. A dissolve introduces the distribution diagram.

0:15–0:35 · The tree takes shape

On a cream background, a phone at the left connects to neighbor A, then to device B and viewers farther right. Two curved routes initially connect A and B. Teal particles represent data flowing along the routes. Amber tokens labeled s1 and s2 move from A toward B, representing session transfers. One duplicate route fades, and a ring highlights B as it takes over the fanout: distributing onward to the branch's destinations. The labels progress from “Shared route” to “Session transfer” and “B takes over the fanout”.

0:35–0:58 · Cooperation repeats

The same tree expands to reveal device C beyond B and two viewers beyond C. B keeps another viewer on a separate branch. Amber session tokens now move from B to C; a duplicate route fades and C is highlighted as the next fanout point. Data continues along the remaining branches. Text reads “Potential audience: millions” and “Illustrative scale, participating network”; the drawing is not a live audience counter.

0:58–1:13 · Distinct roles

Three cards appear side by side: “Creator — Authorized source”, “Transmission — Same reference” and “Session — Current execution”. Beneath the session card, “Session A” slides away and “Session B” replaces it. The creator and transmission cards remain. The caption explains that the transmission reference stays while the current session can change.

1:13–1:30 · Extend reach, preserve authorship

A simplified chain connects the creator's phone, aggregator A and a viewer. Small teal units labeled 42 travel across it. “Authorized source” stays beneath the creator. “Source verified” appears beneath the viewer. The visual separates the participant carrying the data from the source authorized to send it; distribution does not confer authorship or admission authority.

1:30–1:47 · A network of participants

The expanded tree returns: the phone connects through A to B, and B serves one viewer while C serves two others. Moving particles trace the branches. A prominent line lists “Available paths / Participating aggregators / Capacity”. The illustrative potential-audience notice remains below the diagram.

1:47–2:00 · Back to the person

The film returns to the same creator, seedling and phone in the garden, with a small movement of his free hand. At about 1:52.46, the picture changes to a cream end card bearing the PRP logo, “One Transmission. Many Viewers.” and prp-protocol.org. The narrator finishes with “PRP”.

Context and credits

This is a conceptual film, not a functional demonstration or a scale benchmark. The potential audience of millions is illustrative; reach depends on available paths, participating aggregators and capacity. Distribution does not transfer authorship or viewer-admission authority.
