1
00:00:01.000 --> 00:00:04.410
Why should talking to someone depend on both of
you having an account

2
00:00:04.410 --> 00:00:05.460
with the same company?

3
00:00:07.020 --> 00:00:10.040
Meet PRP: the Participant Relationship Protocol.

4
00:00:10.040 --> 00:00:15.580
A shared set of rules for communication, built
around participants and

5
00:00:15.580 --> 00:00:16.590
their relationships.

6
00:00:16.590 --> 00:00:20.110
Not accounts granted by a central platform.

7
00:00:21.680 --> 00:00:26.050
Your identity is separate from the network
carrying your messages.

8
00:00:26.050 --> 00:00:29.980
You can change connectivity providers without
rebuilding your relationships.

9
00:00:29.980 --> 00:00:35.220
The provider carries the connection; it does not
define who you are.

10
00:00:36.810 --> 00:00:39.440
The same idea reaches your home.

11
00:00:39.440 --> 00:00:43.830
A compatible device can communicate with you
without requiring a

12
00:00:43.830 --> 00:00:46.910
manufacturer's account or cloud service in
between.

13
00:00:48.480 --> 00:00:51.400
Not another platform to join.

14
00:00:51.400 --> 00:00:55.490
A foundation for more autonomous, private
communication.

15
00:00:55.490 --> 00:00:56.070
PRP.

16
00:00:56.070 --> 00:00:59.580
Your relationships, beyond any single platform.
