SCION — selected stack
IPv4 / UDP underlay / SCION / application UDP; numeric topology, daemon, control/discovery and endpoint addresses, locally provisioned trust and correct local clock; no end-to-end TLS; independent UDP end-host address/flow contexts within an AS; transit traffic-history logging/export disabled F37/F38: optional router-local AQM and independently administered DiffServ enforcement selected in the existing IPv4 transport. Policies classify visible IP transport aggregates, without inspecting protected tunnel contents or requiring inner-to-outer DSCP copying. F37/F38 do not depend on an application reservation extension; existing private/global and cryptographic qualifications remain unchanged. F36: optional COLIBRI architecture (CoNEXT 2021, sections 3.2-3.4 and 4.3) explicitly selected for application-requested bandwidth: extended SCION daemon, reservation services, gateway policing and participating on-path ASes with segment capacity, destination acceptance, synchronized clocks and reservation renewal. Documentary capability only, not default SCION deployment or validation of current implementation interoperability. Existing endpoint-security evaluations are not promoted by reservation authenticators.
