L02-I2: Pending

Rationale

i2pd 2.58.0 LICENSE attributes the code to the PurpleI2P Project and grants BSD-3-Clause permissions. It contains no express patent grant or non-assertion clause. This is a specific checked source, not an inference from a missing search result. Additional candidate checked: The root Apache license file belongs to optional Google Material Icons according to the README. The workspace declares MIT for the I2P implementation. The presence of LICENSE-APACHE therefore does not supply an express patent grant for the router.

Assessment method

Documentary byte accounting and source-role/lifecycle analysis; no runtime or legal clearance

Source context

Primary RFCs and pinned implementation sources; reviewed 2026-10-22

Outstanding qualification

The examined material does not establish the required express holder commitment. Locate a separate patent-specific declaration or an applicable implementation grant with identified scope and conditions. Do not repeat this root-license check without a changed version or new document. No patent existence, infringement, royalty obligation, lack of implied rights or universal freedom-to-operate conclusion follows. No holder contact was made. This new candidate is also insufficient; do not infer patent rights from an unrelated bundled license.
