Rationale
Linux 6.12 batman-adv main.c declares GPL-2.0. Kernel COPYING explicitly selects GPL version 2 only with a syscall exception. GPLv2 section 7 constrains distribution under conflicting patent obligations; it is not the express contributor patent grant found in GPLv3 section 11. Do not import the latter into this source.
