Rationale
The selected BATMAN_IV/native Ethernet profile has a licensed source-defined protocol path in Linux v6.12. batadv_packet.h documents packet types, fields and translation-table containers; bat_iv_ogm.c defines originator processing and route selection; translation-table.c defines client announcements and table exchanges; routing.c and send.c define forwarding and bonding; soft-interface.c defines local Ethernet attachment. These definitions and their explanatory comments are covered by GPL-2.0, with Linux-syscall-note on the UAPI headers. if_ether.h supplies the licensed Ethernet frame interface definitions. This closes the earlier gap without requiring reuse of complementary wiki prose. GPL permits use and adaptation, including commercial use, subject to its redistribution terms. The finding uses the same source-embedded-definition route accepted for other stacks, rather than inferring specification rights merely from the existence of an open implementation.
