G04-ND: Yes
Rationale
In the selected known-name, static-prefix Ethernet deployment, each forwarder owns its FIB, PIT, cache and strategy state. Prefix next hops can partition traffic among additional forwarders and producer locations; no central resolver or obligatory single controller participates in each retrieval. Operators still provision routes and local trust. A single producer or shared link can remain a bottleneck; global routing inventory and quantitative capacity are not established by this decision.
Assessment method
Architecture and pinned forwarding analysis; no execution
Source context
NFD 24.07 modules and prefix route management
Outstanding qualification
Provision disjoint prefix branches and multiple producers/forwarders with local routes and trust. Inspect per-node state and load, remove one branch, and check recovery and shared bottlenecks. No performance or global-scale experiment has been executed.
