G03-RA: Yes

Rationale

Recursive DIF composition scopes directory and forwarding state. IRATI replicates its directory of registered application names within a DIF, while a lower DIF serves upper IPC processes as its applications. Lower transit participants therefore need not hold the final-application catalog of every upper DIF. Local directory replication does not impose a complete final-identity catalog at every network node.

Assessment method

Primary architectural evidence: recursive IPC scopes and per-DIF directory state

Source context

Boston University RINA scope model and IRATI Namespace Manager

Outstanding qualification

Architectural Yes for scoped recursive composition, not for a flat universal DIF. A DIF member can still carry the full directory of applications registered with that DIF. This does not resolve G01 or G05: the size and placement of upper directories, discovery across scopes and quantitative global capacity remain separate questions. No execution or memory measurement.
