G02-PI: Yes
Rationale
Consider a destination D with two already authenticated and validated paths through attachments A and B, bound to its existing relationships. Outside the access region, each relevant communicating peer changes its selected destination trajectory from the A path to the B path; D migrates eligible work and drains A. Lifecycle sections 3.4, 4 and 7 permit simultaneous eligible trajectories and replacement without replacing participant identity or the session generation. The affected state belongs to D, the prepared paths and peers maintaining those relationships. No individual identity/location update to unrelated network participants is needed in this provisioned witness. This changes actual forwarding toward the destination, rather than merely reconnecting an initiating client.
Assessment method
Primary documentation and pinned source review; no runtime experiment
Source context
Pinned PRP lifecycle sections 3.4, 4 and 7; current wire retirement scope
Outstanding qualification
Architectural witness over already valid, preinstalled paths and scoped forwarding state, not a new-session or Member Route Intent activation procedure. Retain a usable authorized reverse path where bilateral service requires one. Reachability from outside is demonstrated for provisioned remote relationships with an eligible B trajectory; this is not universal cold discovery, arbitrary simultaneous movement, or a globally bounded convergence claim. Publication/discovery coverage is held fixed and no new network-wide destination announcement is assumed. Missing alternate state, invalid sessions or movement beyond the prepared scope requires separate recovery evidence. Wire-v4 section 1.1 retires the historical HS2 path; it preserves independently valid session state and does not qualify successor establishment. For the IP carrier, provision both attachment locators and ordinary underlay reachability beforehand. Selecting B changes PRP trajectory/UDP-IP destination use, not global BGP host-route advertisements; NAT traversal and new underlay reachability are outside this witness.
