F37-MT: Yes
Rationale
Meshtastic observes activity on the local LoRa channel and delays transmission while it is busy. RadioInterface.getTxDelayMsec adjusts the contention window using measured channel utilization; RadioLibInterface schedules the delay and retries channel activity detection before sending. This couples local congestion observation to action in the affected radio region.
Assessment method
Versioned native source and official API review
Source context
Reticulum 1.5.5 and selected Meshtastic firmware source
Outstanding qualification
Pinned firmware source, with real LoRa as already selected. Local shared-medium control is not end-to-end bandwidth reservation, identification of every remote bottleneck or a guarantee against hidden terminals and overload. Relayed-packet timing also uses SNR; not every transmission uses the same delay formula.
