F33-AX: No
Rationale
Linux 6.12 NET/ROM restarts T1 after retransmission and disconnects with ETIMEDOUT when n2 retries are exhausted, including in the connected state. A routing failure in nr_transmit_buffer disconnects with ENETUNREACH. Neither path suspends and resumes the outstanding transfer around a known interruption.
Assessment method
Primary RFC and pinned implementation assessment; no runtime experiment
Source context
Selected-composition mechanisms and interface evidence
Outstanding qualification
NET/ROM and AX.25 provide real acknowledgments and retransmission. T1/N2 tuning, CHOKE flow control and disabling an idle timeout do not establish contact-aware recovery. The verdict concerns the selected Linux NET/ROM circuit, not every radio application or later store-and-forward layer; no radio reliability measurement is claimed.
