Rationale

DTLS record protection is association/epoch scoped. The selected pairwise PSK handshake does not create a reusable signed or MACed content-object envelope.

Primary selected transport/routing specifications and declared profile boundary

Outstanding qualification

Selected endpoint leaves use non-storing RPL and pairwise DTLS PSKs; no CoAP, MQTT, object-security or content-service layer is selected. No consumer-side object-signing or independently trusted content-digest profile is selected. This does not negate the security of the established transport where present.
