F28-BP: No

Rationale

The selected BPv7 endpoint service sends a bundle to an identified destination. Forwarding-node and convergence-layer selection are performed by the BPA using routing information and policy. The selected static/aggregate forwarding composition supplies no endpoint interface or bundle path constraint selecting downstream intermediaries.

Assessment method

Primary specification and pinned code review; no runtime experiment

Source context

BP endpoint service, SABR route computation and LTP engine service

Outstanding qualification

An operator can configure routes, and an application could add an overlay of explicit intermediate destinations. Neither is the selected endpoint service. BPSec origin authentication, status reports and the Previous Node block do not impose a sender-chosen path. This verdict does not deny administrative route control or the possibility of a BP extension implementing endpoint path selection.
