F24-BA: No
Rationale
Linux 6.12 batman-adv forwards frames to a selected next hop through the underlying network device. Transmission queues and delayed work implement forwarding/repetition, without a protocol schedule for an endpoint to stop listening and wake for coordinated delivery. The selected direct Ethernet-style composition adds no sleep-aware MAC service.
Assessment method
Primary specification and pinned code review; no runtime experiment
Source context
Meshtastic power FSM, cjdns forwarding and batman-adv transmission
Outstanding qualification
A lower-layer Wi-Fi power-save mechanism or externally scheduled link must be evaluated as an additional selected component, not inferred from transparent Ethernet bridging. Local queueing and retransmission do not identify future receiver availability. The verdict does not deny that batman-adv can operate over links offering their own power-saving functions; no such binding or runtime sleep test is credited here.
