F23-ND: Yes

Rationale

A consumer can continue fetching the same named, signed data after changing its Ethernet attachment. Interests issued or retransmitted at the new attachment establish fresh reverse paths, while content names and producer-key validation remain unchanged. This is recovery of per-packet requests within the existing retrieval, not establishment of a new persistent peer subscription. No stable authenticated consumer identity is claimed: the selected profile authenticates the producer. The witness requires preconfigured NFD faces/FIB reachability at both attachments and ordinary Interest retransmission; it does not establish producer mobility, automatic face discovery or migration of old PIT entries.

Assessment method

Primary documentation and bounded selected-profile inference; no execution

Source context

NDN technical report NDN-0013, section 4.4: mobile consumers

Outstanding qualification

Move a consumer with its local application/Unix face retained between two preconfigured Ethernet attachments. Keep name and trust anchor fixed; retransmit an unanswered Interest after the move and verify Data on the new reverse path. Inspect suppression/PIT timeout and loss. Producer movement requires a separate mechanism.
