F21-RT: Yes
Rationale
With native Link.identify explicitly enabled, the initiator signs the Link identifier and its public key inside the encrypted Link. Reticulum 1.5.5 validates that proof before assigning the remote identity and invoking the identified callback. The receiving application can use get_remote_identity on that same Link without a separate application authentication protocol. Identification is optional, not automatic.
Assessment method
Documentary/code analysis
Source context
Primary specification and application API
Outstanding qualification
Documentary/code evidence only. Test invalid proofs, unidentified data before identification, callback ordering, teardown and stale identity references. Applications must gate identity-dependent actions until identification; ordinary Link data callbacks do not enforce that policy. This is not a claim of universal transit anonymity.
