F15-CX: No

Rationale

The selected CCNx composition uses CRC32C Interests without authenticated requester admission. Athena checks hop limit and its content store, then calls athenaPIT_AddInterest before FIB forwarding. The PIT has a capacity check and expiration cleanup, but these do not distinguish authorized requests: syntactically valid new Interests can consume available entries. Content signatures verified by consumers do not protect this Interest-admission boundary. The selected path therefore does not establish the combined authorization/rejection and bounded-state protection required by F15.

Assessment method

Primary documentation and pinned source review; no runtime experiment

Source context

Pinned Athena Interest processing and pending-Interest capacity checks

Outstanding qualification

Credit the existing capacity mechanism as resource management, not absent functionality. Key construction and table lookup precede its capacity check. A ContentObjectHashRestriction can add a second nameless entry after the single check; existing entries can extend expiration or aggregate ingress state. Thus the nominal entry capacity is not claimed as an exact whole-PIT byte bound. Hop limits, expiry and duplicate aggregation are useful but do not authorize consumers. No Interest-authentication extension, access-control wrapper or external rate limiter is added. This documentary negative does not demonstrate an outage or measure attack cost.
