E05-MT: Yes

Rationale

Davide Gomba reports his own Meshtastic use at Fusion Festival in July 2025. Beyond his separate talk and earlier workshop experiment, he describes receiving weather information and stage recommendations on the primary channel, with messages exchanged by festival participants. This is actual community communication serving an event need, not merely a node inventory or a proposed application.

Assessment method

Primary operator evidence and explicit component mapping under revised E05

Source context

Davide Gomba, first-person Fusion Festival report, 21 July 2025; vendor collaboration disclosed

Outstanding qualification

The author discloses collaboration with hardware vendor Seeed, which hosts his account. Credit external participant use relative to the protocol authors, not an unaffiliated product review. The witness is primary-channel communication; firmware version, private channels and the selected STRICT-signature DM behavior are not established. The reported node count is not a coverage or reliability measurement. No current service, uninterrupted operation or security audit is inferred.
