E04-GN: Yes
Rationale
The TU Dortmund UbiMuC project report (31 March 2009) documents executed throughput measurements on Nokia N810 devices. Section 3.1 identifies existing GNUnet peer transport, cyphertext_send and HELLO-based key agreement as the underlying communication component. Section 4.2.3 specifies the benchmark, elapsed-time and byte-count method, two/three-device scenarios and results in Tables 4.1–4.4. The disclosed application team and supervisors are distinct from the GNUnet framework authors. Under revised E04, an external application measurement exercising an existing relevant component qualifies; isolated component timing is not required.
Assessment method
External application measurement of an existing component; no isolation requirement
Source context
TU Dortmund, PG 526 UbiMuC final report (2009), sections 3.1 and 4.2.3
Outstanding qualification
Measurements cover a historical GNUnet/UbiMuC composition, including the evaluators’ own packet service, routing messages and framework adaptations. They do not isolate GNUnet throughput or validate current CADET, GNS, security, interoperability or global capacity. The report’s revision labels 804/1179/1187 are not independently mapped to upstream releases. No favorable ranking or transfer of numerical results to the selected current stack is inferred. Independence is based on disclosed attribution, not an exhaustive contributor audit. The previous follow-up’s demand for an isolated baseline was stricter than the component/composition rule already used elsewhere in E04.
