E04-CG: Yes

Rationale

Hou, Zhao, Li and Du (Nanjing University, 2022) execute ION-DTN in an external container-based emulation platform. Section 5.3 describes four nodes, a contact plan and ten 50 kB bundles. Figure 13 and the results record six bundles delivered through a gateway and four through a later direct contact, with explicit contact times. This is quantitative observation of delivery using CGR and scheduled links, rather than an analytical route model alone. The platform authors measure the existing ION routing implementation; revised E04 accepts this bounded shared-mechanism evidence.

Assessment method

Revised E04 documentary assessment of executed contact-plan routing

Source context

Hou et al., Electronics 2022, external ION contact-plan experiment

Outstanding qualification

This small, negligible-loss scenario measures routing and delivery jointly, not isolated CGR CPU cost. Exact ION revision and modern SABR equivalence are not established. No security-profile, current-version, global-scale or comparative-speed result is inferred. The study reproduces an earlier scenario on its own platform; it is not an independent protocol implementation. Independence rests on disclosed Nanjing authorship and use of existing ION software, not an exhaustive contributor audit. No new experiment was run.
