E04-BP: Yes
Rationale
Li and Hesselbach (UPC, 2026) report executed measurements of DTN7-rs 0.21.0 and NASA ION 4.1.3s. Three Linux hosts, a 100 Mbps link, controlled delay, file workloads and five repetitions are described. Figures 5–8 publish transfer, timing and delivery-completion results. The UPC measurement authors are distinct from the named existing implementation providers. This supplies external quantitative evidence for the shared BPv7 bundle-delivery mechanism under revised E04.
Assessment method
Revised E04 documentary assessment of executed bundle delivery
Source context
Li and Hesselbach, Applied Sciences 2026: external BPv7 measurements
Outstanding qualification
The experiment does not establish performance of the selected TLS/BPSec composition. No security overhead, disruption recovery, custody, CGR route selection or global capacity is credited. In particular, the paper’s custody terminology is not adopted as a BPv7 property. Throughput definitions differ across protocol families; their numerical ranking is not imported. The study concerns controlled delay rather than a loss/disruption campaign. Independence is based on disclosed authorship and use of existing implementations, not an exhaustive contributor audit. No experiment was rerun.
