E01-RI: Yes

Rationale

RIOT release 2026.04-RC1 reports task 08-03, ICMPv6 echo between RIOT and Contiki-NG, as PASSED. The pinned procedure configures separate GNRC and Contiki-NG nodes on IEEE 802.15.4 with matching PAN IDs and link-local IPv6 addresses. Its example transcripts show bidirectional replies. These are distinct networking implementations, not wrappers around the same stack. Credit only the common IPv6/6LoWPAN exchange under E01, consistently with earlier bounded interoperability decisions.

Assessment method

Bounded documentary interoperability witness; not a full-stack certification

Source context

RIOT release per-task report, pinned procedure and public CI metadata

Outstanding qualification

Implementer-reported per-task result; no editorial rerun. The linked overall CI run was cancelled, not globally successful. It identifies RIOT a897b0498f635654f091bf9f33e9696aa773e886, but the retrieved report does not pin the tested Contiki-NG commit. The 2023 example transcript in the procedure is not a fresh 2026 execution log. No claim of tested PSK DTLS, RPL interoperability, application authorization, full-profile conformance, independent performance measurement or operational adoption. Selected security and routing settings remain unchanged.
