D04-CJ: No

Rationale

cjdns derives its node IPv6 address from the public key corresponding to privateKey. Its documented ordinary application interface is TUN, and Core_initTunnel initializes the device and assigns its IP address. In this selected native node-address/IPv6 application path, a new key changes the network address that the host interface must expose; an independently generated key is not an additional per-user application identity on an unchanged interface configuration.

Assessment method

Documentary selected-stack classification; no new network execution

Source context

Official API, protocol and configuration documentation; retained origin bytes or explicitly labelled web extractions, 2026-10-15

Outstanding qualification

This classification does not deny self-generated cryptographic addresses, user-owned key files or running an already provisioned process without root. It concerns creating and using additional identities without per-identity network provisioning. A custom userspace packet frontend or delegated network administration is not silently substituted for the selected ordinary IPv6 path.
