D03-RI: No

Rationale

The selected link is IEEE 802.15.4. An actual endpoint on that link needs an IEEE 802.15.4-capable transceiver; an ordinary Ethernet or Wi-Fi interface alone does not implement it. Under D03, mandatory specialized-radio hardware does not qualify even if inexpensive or commercially available.

Assessment method

Documentary and source review; no new runtime execution

Source context

Primary specifications, retained implementation sources and deployment documentation

Outstanding qualification

This is a requirement of the selected physical-link binding, not of all IPv6 or all RPL deployments. A serial gateway or simulated link does not silently replace that binding. Apply the same rule used for the selected standalone LoRa column.
