D03-CG: Yes

Rationale

The selected CGR column uses ordinary IPv4/TCP networking rather than a mandatory space-radio or AOS link. HDTN documents commodity Linux x86/ARM platforms and software TCPCLv4/TLS, BPv7/BPSec and contact-plan routing. Its CMake/README explicitly allow USE_X86_HARDWARE_ACCELERATION and LTP_RNG_USE_RDSEED to be disabled; optional optimized CPU paths or external acceleration hooks are not a required radio, accelerator or secure element. ION CGR is also ordinary C route computation. This establishes the documented hardware dependency boundary without attributing a measured scale or throughput.

Assessment method

Documentary deployment-dependency assessment; no new build or execution

Source context

Pinned NASA HDTN and ION source/build documentation, reviewed 2026-10-15

Outstanding qualification

Credit a commodity host and ordinary NIC for the IPv4 CGR composition only. This does not extend to the separate LTP/Encapsulation/AOS column or imply a particular physical space link is commodity. Complete selected-profile integration and runtime validation remain pending; optional acceleration benchmarks, mission hardware and protocol conformance are not inferred.
