Rationale
NFD 24.07 documents supported Debian 12 and Ubuntu 24.04 installations with ndn-cxx and libpcap for optional Ethernet faces. This userspace Ethernet/Unix-face configuration uses stock packet I/O, not an NDN kernel module. Raw-frame privileges are a separate D01 question.
