The FreeBSD 14.3 ILNP release documents unmodified IPv6 nc and iperf3 binaries using ordinary stream sockets, with NID/L64 resolution supplied through modified libc. An ordinary client can use an ephemeral TCP port after administrative installation/provisioning; routine application traffic does not require raw sockets or routing privileges.
