C06-NS: No
Rationale
A participating Nostr relay sees the event author pubkey and stable event ID, then associates the delivered event with the reader's WebSocket subscription and connection. NIP-01 uses those fields for filtering and delivery; they are protocol selectors, not merely an opaque payload fingerprint. A publisher and reader using that relay therefore have an observable delivery association. WSS hides these records from passive carrier observers, but not from the relay terminating TLS. The selected basic composition consequently does not conceal the association from all selected transit observers.
Assessment method
Primary documentation and pinned source review; no runtime experiment
Source context
NIP-01 event format, filters and client/relay message definitions
Outstanding qualification
No claim that a reader exposes a civil identity or authenticated Nostr key: its receiving connection is sufficient for this bounded observation. A signed author is not necessarily the live publishing socket owner; replay by another publisher remains possible. Subscription IDs are connection-local, whereas event IDs and author keys persist across relay copies. Credit concerns protocol-visible delivery metadata, not timing correlation, compulsory logging or a private-message recipient field. No NIP-17/44, Tor or additional privacy wrapper is selected. Other Nostr profiles require separate assessment.
